Welcome to SOTKU!
Why SOTKU?
Don't know what to do to keep your house or apartment clean and tidy without having to block half a day a week and feel like you're wasting your time?
Are you in a shared flat and want to organize to know who does what? And above all, avoid always being the same person who takes care of the toilets or that war zone called "kitchen"?
Are you (almost) 50 and completely lost? Obviously, you've had your feet under the table for most of your life, while explaining what to do and how to do it?
Do you have too many things on your mind, you don't know where to start, because you've always been told what you should do and when?
What is SOTKU?
- View all tasks available
- A weighted random draw based on task frequency. Yes indeed: we do the dishes more often than we take out the trash.
- A list of tasks to perform during the day. Think of it as a time slot where you take care of your home, shared or not.
- A multiplayer version so that everyone does something and everyone pitches in. Practical for a shared flat or family, everyone will do their part and there will be no more frustration. Well yes, but less.
SOTKU acronym?
We'll let you choose the acronym, because we haven't decided yet. Well, somewhere, yes. But, no, we can't make it public IYKWIM!
- System for Organizing Kollaborative Unified Tasks
- Solidarity and Organization of Kolossal Useful Tasks
- Optimal Tracking of Universal Kollective Tasks
- Solutions for Organizing Urgent Kollective Work
- Tactical Organization Strategy for Useful Kohesions
Why SOTKU?
It all started with a game of rock-paper-scissors to decide who would do the dishes piling up in the sink. Then it turned into (long) (endless) games of Uno. The points version, with a score increase as soon as one or the other approached the end. As a result, the game took longer than what needed to be done, which was therefore postponed. If we didn't remember who was supposed to do what: we were off for another round.
SOTKU: the game!
Yes yes. You read that right. A "card game" version is in preparation, with the right rules. Why?
Music for Houseplants
Yes, doing these tasks can be tedious. Hence this playlist, compiled solely from tracks and albums from the renowned label F-Communications. The label of Éric Morand and Laurent Garnier. Which launched the prolific Quentin Dupieux aka Mr. Oizo. But also The Youngsters and AlexKidd. Which gave birth to the Megasoft Office compilations that we highly recommend.
